ALL SUPPLIERS WISHING TO ENTER THE SUSTAINABLE SUPPLIER AWARD MUST ENTER VIA THE PRODUCT AWARDS BY SELECTING THE RELEVANT CATEGORY. ANY PRODUCTS ENTERED HERE INCORRECTLY IN THE AIRPORT, AIRLINE AND CRUISE RETAIL SUSTAINABILITY AWARD WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

Notes on entering the Best Sustainable Airport, Airline and Cruise Retail award:
Sustainability is of growing importance to consumers and to the global travel retail industry. Recognising this, TRBusiness launched the Travel Retail Sustainability Forum (TRSF), Travel Retail Plastic Pledge (Click here for more information) and then introduced the highly popular ‘Best Green Initiative at an Airport’ award for the first time in 2020.
Subsequently TRBusiness initiated the highly acclaimed Travel Retail Sustainability Week, the industry’s only event dedicated solely to showcasing and promoting sustainable businesses practices within travel retail.
Following intense interest in the 2020 ‘Best Green Initiative at an Airport’ award, which was won by Budapest Airport for its Free Eco-Friendly Shopping Bags, TRBusiness is delighted to announce the return of the Green Award in 2021.
This year, it has been extended to include airlines and cruise companies as well as airports, and their respective commercial partners from F&B, retail or other sectors.
Airports, airlines, cruise companies and their respective commercial partners are taking giant strides towards a more sustainable approach to business. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic stalling international travel, stakeholders have been taking the opportunity to assess their environmental values and impact and a growing number of stakeholders are now more proactive than ever before, implementing new sustainable policies and initiatives.
The creation of the Sustainable Airport, Airline and Cruise Retail award aims to celebrate and reward those who are proactively engaging on sustainability.
Airports, airlines, cruise companies and their commercial partners (retail and F&B) wishing to enter this award are invited to make their submissions using the form above.
To enter, you just need to submit a 300 word text and supporting images (JPEG, PNG etc – no PDFs) to present your sustainable retail initiative.
These will be shared with the panel of consumers who will review them, scoring the entries on a 10- point scale.
Our panel of bloggers and vloggers will also review these entries.
The same 70:30 ratio between consumers’ and bloggers’ scores will apply to the sustainable airport, airline and cruise award as with the product awards.
Airports, airlines, cruise companies, retailers or F&B concessionaires are invited to complete the form, describing in no more than 300 words why their initiative deserves to win. Each entry can include up to three images.
